This is a watercolor in the style of JMW Turner. I have always been interested in the grand themes addressed in Herman Melville's famous novel Moby Dick; nature's total indifference to man, good verses evil, how God and nature are essentially unknowable to man. Captain Ahab confronts these truths, represented by the white whale, and pays with his life.
