From an original watercolor, this is a portrait of Ada Wright, the longtime cook at my college fraternity house. I washed dishes there for a couple of years to earn my meals and grew to love her dearly. She was my surrogate mother. A kinder, wiser woman I have never met. There's a good story behind the title of the work.
